What Others Are Saying
I’ve had the privilege of working with writers, business leaders, clergy, trauma specialists, and more. Here’s what some of them had to say about our work together.
“Halley Kim was an amazing editor! She caught things that I, as the author, missed because I was envisioning the story in my head. With her direction my novel has been elevated from okay to amazing! I know that without her help I would not be where I am with this manuscript. Now I have full confidence my publisher will be extremely pleased with what has been produced. My gratitude is overflowing for everything Halley has provided for me with her services! She keeps in contact, will take phone calls, and provides the most helpful feedback!”
Brittany Neunuebel Magical realism author (YA)“Halley’s editing was invaluable for my speech. She helped me convey my points clearly and in a way that was compelling and motivational. She helped me troubleshoot areas where I was stuck, and also provided grammar and syntax correction. Halley’s editing gave me confidence that I was communicating what I wanted to communicate without confusion or distraction. My speech would not have been as meaningful or effective without her insights. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome.”
Katie Noland Speaker“Working with Halley Kim as my book editor was an absolute game changer. Her keen eye for detail, ability to capture my voice, and thoughtful guidance elevated my writing beyond what I imagined. Halley is more than an editor. She’s a true partner in bringing your words to life with clarity and impact.”
Kelli Risse self help author“Halley is a gifted content creator. Probably my best example of this came in the spring of 2022. With our emphasis in worship during Lent being Women of the Bible, Halley designed a corresponding woman-centered curriculum for our Kids Church program. She took part in the development of the Holy Thursday liturgy, and was the visionary behind a Good Friday service that highlighted violence against women—both of these services were widely appreciated. She was instrumental in researching, conceiving, writing this very meaningful and inspirational thematic series.”
Rev. Dave Denoon, UCC clergy“Although I consider my own writing to be of a quality reflecting my four decades in the pastorate, I have to say that Halley offered me coaching and editing which helped my composition to be more succinct and understandable. Her critique was often provided in ways that reflected her understanding that one’s writing is often very closely tied to one’s identity. When her critique was a bit more blunt, Halley provided it with a measure of light-heartedness that communicated confidence with grace.”
Rev. Dave Denoon, UCC clergy“Working with Halley Kim has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my writing career. She doesn’t just polish words, she elevates them. Her keen editorial eye catches the smallest inconsistencies while never losing sight of the big picture. I’ve trusted her with projects ranging from my own novels to the self-help and memoirs of my clients. Through each project, she’s delivered feedback that is both insightful and actionable while still encouraging of the writer's original words. To me, what sets Halley apart is her balance of rigor and respect. She challenges me to push my work further without ever compromising my voice. She’s efficient, professional, and every manuscript she has worked on is stronger because of her expertise. If you’re looking for an editor who brings precision and passion to the table, I cannot recommend Halley Kim highly enough.”

“Working with Halley on our gala fundraiser was such a gift! She jumped in on everything from auction item descriptions to the program and live auction write-ups, and made my life so much easier. Halley has such a good eye for detail and found ways to polish and improve things while still keeping all the copy in my voice. She was easy to work with, super reliable, and her copy edits really elevated the whole event! Thank you!”
